I am by no means an alcoholic. I almost never drink, and this is exactly what got me into the situation that I am in today. After work last week some friends of mine convinced me that it would be a good idea for me to go with them to a bar and have a few drinks. Now my intention was to maybe just have one or two drinks, and then drive home. In fact that is exactly what I did. However since I am not a drinker, and the drinks that were served me were extremely strong, just having two drinks was enough to get me drunk. As a result when I was pulled over by a police officer as I was driving home I failed a breathalyzer test. What a stressful situation! I had to pay fines, lost my license for a while and have to take an 8 hour, level 1 alcohol awareness class. I absolutely can't miss work right now because I'm also a single mother and can't afford to take time off to go to the weekly classes. Thankfully the judge heard my story and has agreed to let me take them online. This way I don't have to lose any income or pay more for a babysitter. I can login to the classes after my son goes to bed at night and will finish them within a week. It is a little embarrassing, but it is my fault and I can promise I've learned my lesson!.
