I had to take Drug Education Classes as part of a court ordered mandate to get my record expunged. It has been a long process getting to this point but I can finally see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. I got in trouble a couple of years ago with a prescription painkiller. I was taking it for the pain in my back and got hooked. Then the doctor switched me to another medication after I refused to have another surgery. He said that I was addicted to the pills. I told him that I was and it was because he helped me get there. I would do the, "I dropped my pills in the toilet" routine with him and beg for refills before they were due. When I could not legally get them anymore, I started to buy them from other sources. First I got them from friends and family. Then they came from the street. Then I got arrested and went through rehab. Now I am drug free and just need to complete this educational course and I will no longer be under the thumb of the court.
